Champagne Couvreur Philippart
What do we like?
Elisabeth and Jacques Couvreur created the Couvreur Philippart brand in 1974. Descendants of several generations of winegrowers, they were able to pass on the passion to their son Emmanuel, who took over in 1990. Joined in 2000 by his wife Christelle, they are committed to perpetuating the quality of their wines. For these independent winegrowers, their profession is a passion. Visit them, they will be happy to discuss with you and show you their work. The 8.5 hectare vineyard is located in the charming village of Rilly-la-Montagne, one of the oldest wine-producing villages in Champagne. In the heart of the Montagne de Reims, their vines are located in the 1er cru villages of Chigny Les Roses, Ecueil, Ludes, Rilly La Montagne; in grand cru in Verzy and in autre cru in Nogent l'Abbesse. The three main Champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay (28%), Pinot Noir (27%) and Pinot Meunier (45%) are cultivated by them. Since 2018, they are certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and VDC (Sustainable Champagne Winegrowing).
