What do we like?
The statue of Count Drouet d'Erlon was fully restored in July 2021.
Jean-Baptiste Drouet d'Erlon, born on 29 July 1765 in Reims and died on 25 January 1844 in Paris, was a French military man, a simple soldier of the Revolution who became a General in 1799 and was made a Count of the Empire by Napoleon.
He then became General Governor in Algeria in 1834-1835 and was elevated to the dignity of Marshal of France in 1843.
His tomb can be seen in the north cemetery of Reims.
