Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park

Natural escape
Between forests and vineyards

At the gateway to Reims, the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park is an ideal area for nature outings, in the forest or in the vineyards.

Hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails await you.

A forest unique in the world
Fauxde Verzy

With over 1,000 scythes, the Forêt domaniale de Verzy is the world’s leading scythe reserve. The Faux de Verzy are twisted beeches, a variety of beech with twisted twigs and branches and peculiar shapes, the origin of which is still obscure to botanists. The Faux de Verzy, spectacular trees of slow growth and exceptional longevity, play a major role in the uniqueness of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park.

A sea of vines
Côteaux de la Montagne de Reims

From Vrigny to Trépail, via Sermiers and Verzy, the Montagne de Reims hillside region is one of the 4 terroirs that make up AOC Champagne.

The Park boasts over 10,000 hectares of vineyards classified as AOC Champagne.

The vineyards and villages offer exceptional views all along the Champagne Tourist Route. Depending on the season, you can observe the work of the winegrowers who forge this landscape on a daily basis.
