Say ‘Bonjour Champagne’! It's like a magic formula for reaching the crossroads between the effervescence of the Champagne region, the serenity of the countryside and the comfort of top-of-the-range accommodation.

Here's a hint: the gîte is on the Champagne tourist route, just 15 minutes by car from Reims Cathedral and almost as much from the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay.

Bingo, it's in Ludes! A sparkling village in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. You'll find everything you need here: supermarket, petrol station, bakery, restaurant and a good number of winegrowers and champagne houses.

So, you said it... the formula? Let's go and visit this lovely, recently renovated house, surrounded by greenery on the edge of the vineyards.

Sleeping up to 14 people (including 12 adults), the rooms have been lovingly decorated in a modern, colourful atmosphere. Modern, though... a few retro elements add the comforting charm of the old. The living room is bathed in light, with 2 large French windows opening directly onto the terrace and garden.

This traditional house has 6 bedrooms, 3 bath/shower rooms, 1 fitted kitchen and a living area with a large dining table and sitting area.

A lovely terrace, also with a large dining table, and a wooded garden provide the perfect setting for relaxing, with views over the vineyards and forest of the Montagne de Reims.

A large basement completes the property, providing space for a car, bike or motorbike.

On arrival, champagne is chilled, beds are made and towels are provided.

You can choose between 2 king-size beds (180x200), 3 queen-size beds (160x200) and 2 single beds (90x200). A 140x70 bed and an umbrella bed are available for children under 3.

We love them, but for reasons of hygiene and allergies, our friends with 4, 3 or 2 legs, fur, feathers etc... are not admitted.
