J'ai mangé sur place puis fait la visite de cave. L'endroit est très beau, typiquement Champenois et bien rénové. La nourriture est simple et locale. Le choix des plats est très limité mais ça ne m'a pas gêné. Ça fait partie de l'expérience. La visite était très intéressante, on sent que le guide s'intéresse au produit et cherche à faire une visite différente, plus précise et technique qu'ailleurs. La dégustation est ludique avec des petits jeux ce qui la rend amusante et qui change. Je recommande pour les personnes qui veulent voir autre chose qu'une visite classique de grande Maison, ou pour les personnes qui connaissent déjà un peu le champagne et qui veulent aller plus loin.

We had a fabulous lesson on the history and production of Champagne also an interesting insight into “behind scenes” politics of the champagne business. Our guide was very knowledgable and factual; the tasting and quiz was really enjoyable. We would definitely book this again and highly recommend. Incredible value for money in my opinion. Thank you

What do we like?

We welcome you to Clos Corbier in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ in the heart of Champagne. The tour of the house includes our mini vineyard with 3 grape varieties, our press and our cellar. You will then participate in a tasting workshop exploring the secrets of the Champagne method, and taste 3 Champagnes from the family.

In detail

Full description

Meet us at Le Clos Corbier, a charming 19th century Champagne house in the middle of the Champagne vineyards. You will be welcome by our team members, who love Champagne and meeting people.
We will share with you the history of the place which has seen generations of winegrowers succeed one another.

We will take you to discover our mini vineyard with 3 grape varieties and then show you our traditional press. We will then explore the cellar tunnels of the estate, which contain hidden treasures currently ageing. This underground journey will allow us to show you our vat room, the place where the wines are aged.
We will discuss with you the secrets of the Champagne method, from the harvest to the famous dosage.

It will then be time to sit down to enjoy 3 workshops around the Champagne method, aromas and tasting. A friendly moment of sharing, which will allow you to better understand the beauty of this magical nectar, and to awaken your senses. You will taste 3 of our carefully selected family champagnes, from the 2 family brands.

You will enjoy Premiers and Grands Crus, including a vintage Blanc de Blancs.You may then have found your new favorite champagne!
