Splendours of Art Deco
What do we like?
This tour combines the discovery of the architectural heritage of the Reconstruction of the 1920s, embodied by the emblematic Art Deco artistic movement, with Champagne as a symbol of the art of living of that era.
PROGRAMME :
An itinerary starting at the sublime Carnegie Library to discover the main buildings in Reims from the period of
Reconstruction.
Lunch, drinks included
Visit to the Villa Demoiselle
A unique example of transitional Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture, the Villa Demoiselle was built between 1904 and 1908 to plans by architect Louis Sorel. In 2004, Paul-François Vranken, Chairman of Champagne Vranken, acquired the villa and undertook restoration work that would last almost five years. The best craftsmen were sent to restore the villa to its former splendour, while respecting the styles of the period. Take a step back in time and discover the Villa Demoiselle, through tours and receptions, in a refined setting.
Born of a dream by Henry Vansier, Villa Demoiselle is a unique creation of Art dans Tout, a veritable jewel of refined décor".
Champagne tasting at the end of the tour.
